The pin cushion is weighted as it is designed to keep your thread catcher from falling off your worktop.
This is useful for any sewer as you can keep your pins close by and have somewhere to put your cut off threads and fabric scraps when sewing.
To make the project you will need:
Two fat quarters (18"x20" each)
A piece of foam 17"x10"
1 kg of walnut shells or toy sand (you will have some left over)
1 x emroidery skein
1 x 3.3" hook and look fastening
